I don't know why I put a happy face in the title of this journal because the project I had. Sucked. I'm taking Latin II as a senior, which means that the class has maybe three more and then the rest are juniors and sophomores. I know no one in that class. When it came time to form groups for a project on Constructing a Roman Road, I chose rather unwisely. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and told myself, 'Yeah, these girls care about their grades.' I regret it. ...I seriously wish I could vlog. I think I'd be damn awesome at it. Just saying. So after yesterday's episode with the migraine and the fail attempt at trying to get a mentor, I had to walk into class today yet again with no approval sheet. Basically the approval sheet lists my topic, my intentions, and the product that I intend to make out of all this. On the sheet it is required to list possible mentors. Well my idea is, why even list it--no--why even turn in a topic for approval if you cannot obtain a mentor first? So you can change horses midstream? I don't think so! If you're younger than me (weird) and you have to do it as a senior, you're going to hate it. If you are a senior currently and have to do it...I feel your pain. In college? I envy you about now. Senior project is basically a semester-long project where you find a topic and spend at least ten hours with a mentor learning about this topic.  Then you're supposed to brew a presentation with a product from your topic. Generally they want you to have hardly any experience doing it.
